There's not a lot you'll need to concern yourself with in terms of paddles, personal flotation devices (aka life vests) or a canoe or kayak. We've got you covered on all of that. But there are a few personal items you'll want to take with you to make your time(s) on the river enjoyable.

Here's a quick list of what you will want to bring along:

  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Snacks/lunch
  • Water shoes (or a pair of old sneakers)
  • Towel (but you can leave that in your car)

Here's a list of OPTIONAL items to consider:

  • Sunglasses
  • Hat (ball cap)
  • Ziplock bag (or if you want to get fancy a Dry Bag) to keep your keys/wallet/stuff dry
  • Fishing gear
  • A plastic "Poncho" in case it rains
  • Soft drinks
Preparation is the key to a good journey and we'll do all we can to make sure you find the Ocmulgee River a renewable source of good times.
